Projects – Using design and architecture to expand themes
Public art commission

In addition to jewellery design, Sarah applies the ideas and themes of her work on a larger scale to explore their versatility. She enjoys working with architects and designers, and welcomes new opportunities to apply her skills in a fine art or architectural design context.

Sarah King - Project 2
Project 1 ->

Public art commission
Sarah King was one of three lead artists on Deptford Creekside Charrette organised by Creative Process.

The public and privately funded event was to explore an integrated multi-disciplinary vision for this border area between Deptford and Greenwich.

The artists’ role was to find opportunities for Public Art in general, as well as proposing their own projects.

Sarah King‘s ‘Light Perforation Walkway’ was selected for further development.
This proposal was to enhance the experience of finding and walking through the Ha’penny Hatch route at the heart of the Creekside area through bioresin detailing in the path surface.
